Alphabet Challenge

 On Tuesday 22nd October 2019 Rm 7 played a fun

game called The Alphabet Challenge.

How you play is you have to get in groups of 3 and

the people in my group were Moana, Langiola,

Angellynah and Rona next Miss Ashley gives you a piece

of paper with 3 columns with all of the letters of the

alphabet in it. Then Miss Ashley gives you a topic for

example Names so you have to put the topic she gave

you and you have to write it down in a small box on top

of the alphabets and you have to write the names starting

with that letter.

When you finished that you have 3 minutes to

finish your names and once you’ve done that

Miss Ashley looks at your paper and calls out

the name on your paper and whoever has the

same name as you, you get no point on your paper

but if you get a different name on your paper you get a point.

After that you add up all your scores together

and the one with the highest score wins a lollie

and the score that my group got was 7 and the

other groups got 15, 12, 13, 7 and stuff like that,

the 2  winners of the game was Ana, Maria, Lily,

Junefia, Janett and Heleinah won and they got a lollie

The Puzzle Game

 The Puzzle Game 

On Thursday 17th of October 2019 Rm 7 played an activity called The Puzzle Game.

First Miss Ashley told Room 7 “Get in groups of 4” so we went into groups of 4 and in my group was Angellynah, Moana, Marilyn, Langiola, Rona and Tisharn. After that Miss Ashley pulled 4 puzzles because there are 4 groups so Miss Ashley asked me “Pick a number between 1 and 4”

“Umm… 2” when I told her that she passed me the 2nd Puzzle box. 

When she gave the puzzle to my group we started the puzzle and it was 100 pieces next Miss Ashley asked the other groups the same question she asked me, while she was doing that we started figuring out where everything goes when we were doing that Miss Ashley gave us a hint, and she told the whole group “Start from the outlines and it will be more easier” so she helped us do it and we were almost done with our puzzle and the pieces were sticking together perfectly.

It was so hard putting the pieces together but we eventually got it together and when all the groups finished we swap and we do each others puzzle box and to be honest it was quite fun to do.

Conversation Circle

Conversation Circle

On a windy day Rm 7 played a fun activity called The Conversation Circle, First Miss Ashley said “ Go and find a buddy” so we found a buddy and my buddy was Langiola.

Langiola asked me her question and that was  “Do you prefer Onions or worms and Why?” 

I replied  “Onions because I hate worms, How about you?.”

“ I prefer onions because I don’t like worms” 

“ Oh Okay” and after she answered her question I asked her my question which was  “ Would you prefer to learn how to dance or learn how to paint and Why?

“I prefer dancing because I don’t like art, and you?”

“ I would do art because I want to be an artist and I love art”. Next Miss Ashley called out “NEXT!’ so we went to our next buddy that was on our left.

My next buddy was Rona and we were talking about ‘Do you prefer Jelly or Snails?’ and when we were talking about that Miss Ashley called out “NEXT” so we rotated until we went back to our buddy that we had from the start.

When we finished going around the circle we have to go back to our buddy and sit on the mat.

Pictionary (Part 2)

Pictionary (Part 2)

On one overcast Tuesday 15th of October 2019 Room 7 played a game called Pictionary.

Pictionary is where the whole class gets into 3 groups of approximately the same size in it and the people in my group were Langiola, Rona, Litia, Tisharn, Lynch, Me and Tsai. When you draw you can’t talk, Use actions, No Mouthing and wait for Miss Ashley to say “3, 2, 1, GO!” and when she says that you have to start drawing.

Once you have started 1 person from your group has to go up to Miss Ashley and Miss Ashley will tell you what you have to draw. After that you go back to your group, wait in anticipation for Miss to say “go!”, and they have to  try and guess (estimate) what they are drawing and whoever gets it correct they get a point. The game increased in difficulty because the next round we had to be blindfolded and drawing on a piece of paper with a permanent marker (Vivid) and try to draw what Miss Ashley told you to draw. When they were drawing everybody was screaming and  to be honest it was quite hard for me.

I felt overjoyed and everybody was participating during the game.

Pictionary

On Thursday 26th of September 2019 Room 7 played a game called Pictionary and the rules are you cant talk, no mouthing, no hand gestures, no writing letters on the board..

Pictionary is like Charades but you have to draw. We had to get into 3 groups with an even amount of people in it and you have to have a name of your group, the first group name was TPS the 2nd group name was UFC and the final group name was Flash Lightning. 

When 3 people go to Miss Ashley, Miss Ashley will say “Ok your gonna draw is a stem of a flower.” and some other things after that you go to the board and draw a stem of a flower and whoever guesses it correct their team gets a point, I drew a  shoelace and my favourite one that I drew was the shoelace.

I was feeling excited because I love drawing and doing art. When people were drawing on the board the teams were screaming out random words like “TIRE!!” and I couldn’t hear anything.

Room 7 had a great, awesome, fantastic time playing it and we hope that we can play it again.

Just Kidding (Level 3)

On Wednesday 25th of September 2019 Room 7 played 'Partner Yoga Challenge' how you play is Miss Ashley will put a picture of 2 people or more and you have to try recreate it.

When you found a buddy Miss Ashley said "Once you have finish looking for a buddy then we will start." Room 7 replied "Ok."so we started the challenge.

When we started the challenge  the last pose we had to do was extremely hard but we managed to do it and the other poses were a bit hard and a bit easy,the first pose was pretty easy but it got hard every time we change the photos.

The last pose that the whole class had to get in a circle but using chairs and we had to lay on each others legs and Miss Ashley went to take off the chairs and we have to balance it and we did but we all fell like dominos and it was really cool.

When we finished we all said "can we do it again." but Miss Ashley said "Maybe next time." so we finished the challenge and now we are writing about it.

Bike Celebration Day

On Monday 16th of September 2019 Rm 7 and other classes celebrated bike day, bike day is a day where there is lots of activities to do and there is also bike riding but it goes class to class but when you see a bike thats free then you can ride it, but you have to wear a helmet before you go on the bike. The other activities were you can make your own badge, what you have to do is the people that are at that station they give you a circle paper and you have to write anything on it and when your done y writing something you give it to the people that work the station and they will turn into a badge using a machine.

When you get a bike you have to get a black mark on your hand so you can get a milo to drink, you have to go around the bike track 2 times you can call it laps and when your done you can do the other activities but you can go for another round if you have time. My favourite part was meeting the husky because husky's are my favourite type of dogs. when we were finished we went back to class to finish our work

Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was an American artist, director and producer. Andy was born in August 6 1928 in Pennsylvania and U.S. How he became an artist was that he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Pictorial Design in 1949. The kind of art that he made was Pop Art and Modern Art, Andy Warhol was famous for directing movies and being a producer. His successful piece of artwork was the Campbell's soup cans, Now Andy Warhol is dead because he died of Arrhythmia, it means your heart beat goes too quickly or too slowly and Andy Warhol died in February 22 1987.

This is one of his artworks that he did when he was still alive and he drew John Lennon. Andy Warhol was the 4th child of Ondrej Warhola and Julia. Andy had other siblings too, he had 2 older brothers named Pavol and Paul. When Andy was 13 his father died in a accident.

This is Andy's most successful artwork.

Roy Lichtenstein

Roy Lichtenstein was born in October 27th 1923
 and he went to The Ohio State University. Roy
Lichtenstein was taught at Ohio State until 1951
 then he went to Cleveland, Ohio to work.
 The art that he was famous for was
Modern Art, Pop Art and Abstract
Expressionism.
Roy Lichtenstein was inspired by Comics,
 Advertisement and Benday Dots.

Roy Lichtenstein died in 29 September 1997 NYU
Langone Orthopedic Center, New York, United States.

Roy Lichtenstein's Full name is Roy Fox Lichtenstein. He died when he was 73
years old.

Tongan Games

On Wednesday 4th of September 2019, TPS played Tongan games for Tongan Language week and there were heaps of games to play like Dodgeball, Kiwi fruit race, Bag race and another game. The first game I played was the bag race, how you play is you grab any bag and hop inside it and when the adult says Go then you have to jump to get to the finish line.

The 2nd game I played was the Kiwi Fruit race, how you do it is you grab a spoon and a Kiwi fruit, you put the Kiwi fruit on the spoon and you run to the end and you get a prize if you win the game. the 3rd game was Dodgeball, how you play Dodgeball is people go in the middle and people go on the side and the people on the side get the ball and try hit the people in the middle and if they hit them then they are out of the game.

The Camel That Gets Lost

  The Camel That Gets Lost

The Camel was wondering around the hot sandy desert 

looking for its family for the Camels birthday.

When the Camel was wondering around the hot sandy

desert it discovered footprints but not human ones it

was another Camels footprints so the Camel followed it

and it took him days to find out where the footprints were

going, but there was a problem.

The problem was that the Camel got lost and it didn’t

know where to go, so the Camel just kept following the

footprints and it led him to a surprise that he didn’t expect.

The surprise was that the footprints led to the Camels

family and the Camel was so happy that his family

surprised him.

The Camel and his family lived happily ever after.

The Sleeping Sloth

The Sleeping Sloth

At 12:00 a Sloth went to the rainforest to find somewhere

to sleep for some time.

It was a very sunny day which means that it was very hot,

so that why the sloth went to sleep but when the sloth

went to sleep it didn’t know what was coming ahead of him.

There was a snake that was very hungry, when it was

hungry the snake said “Hiss.” and the Sloth didn’t even hear

a single word that came out of the snakes mouth, so the

snake got ready to attack the Sloth and eat it all up.

Just before the snake got up the tree to eat the

Sloth there was a Leopard that said “Roar.” and the

Sloth still didn’t hear, the Leopard roared because

it was very hungry as well and it spotted the snake and

ran as fast as it could and jumped on the tree to eat

the snake and it, ate it all up, when the snake it was very

fool it went to sleep.

The Sloth was still asleep it didn’t hear anything at all.

The Brown Bear

The Brown Bear

One day a Brown Bear went wondering in the woods

in daytime.

The Brown Bear went wondering in the woods because

\he had nothing else to do and he was bored.

When the bear was wondering in the woods he fell

into a bear trap but he didn’t know who put the bear

trap there so the Bear said “ Ahhhh.” and a Deer heard

then came along to help The Brown Bear but the Deer

couldn’t get the Bear trap off of The Brown Bear.

The Deer called for help and a few minutes later

Moana and Angellynah arrived, after they arrived

Moana and Angellynah tried to pull the Bear trap off

of the bear using gloves so their hands won’t be

dirty and they took the Bear trap off of

The Brown Bear so The Brown Bear learnt his

lesson and shaked Moana, Angellynah and The

Deers hands to thank them for helping him.

When The Brown Bear learnt his lesson

he promised not to go in the woods without friends or family.

Leopard

Leopard

A Leopard has live babies because it is a Mammal and

the mother leopard is pregnant for 93 to 100 days.

Leopards eat Monkeys.

Leopards special features are able to climb trees,

even when carrying heavy prey, and often choose to

rest on tree branches during the day.

They live in Sub-Saharan Africa and northeast Africa.

 They live with their mum until they are 3 months old.

Leopards do mate for life they also don’t migrate.

Leopards are endangered because they

have less food to eat. Leopards predators are Hyenas,

Jackals, Tigers and Lions.
